What is the Weld CERT Cart?

The Weld CERT Cart is a fully integrated robotic arc welding training cell built around the FANUC ARC Mate 50iD/7L, a high-speed six-axis industrial welding robot with an IP67 rating that qualifies it for use in demanding manufacturing environments. The robot is paired with the FANUC R30iB Mate Plus controller, the same controller platform used across FANUC's broader educational robot lineup, so skills learned on the Weld CERT Cart transfer directly to other FANUC systems students may encounter in industry.

The welding power source is the Miller Auto-Continuum 350, an advanced industrial system featuring three distinct welding processes: Versa-Pulse for fast, low-heat, low-spatter applications ideal for gap filling, Accu-Pulse for the majority of industrial welding applications across all weld positions, and RMD for lowest-heat work and gap handling. All processes are accessible through the FANUC ArcTool software, giving students experience with the adaptive welding technologies they will encounter in production environments.

The cart itself uses welded steel construction with tinted sides to protect the classroom environment. Helmet use is required for viewing.
