Senator Kamala Harris Visits INTECH Center in Fontana
When it comes to technical jobs in the US, the skills gap is a major issue and highly skilled technicians are in short supply. That’s why California Steel Industries, Chaffey College, the Riverside and San Bernardino Community College Districts banded together to create INTECH; The Industrial Technical Learning Center in Fontana, California. By training and placing workers in the growing fields of robotics, welding, industrial maintenance and other high need areas, INTECH serves as a shining example for future workforce training centers. Sen. Kamala Harris praised INTECH during her visit last week, saying she hopes to share student success stories back in D.C so “hopefully, it can be done in other places”. We’re very proud to share in this great success story, and congratulate our partners at INTECH, RCCD and SBCCD for all their hard work to provide gainful employment opportunities for Californians in the Inland Empire!
